Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Bangkok

    Arrive at any time.

This evening, the famous Khao San Road is on the itinerary for your first night out. Explore this buzzing traveller hub with your CEO and check out the lively bars and dance parties that line the street. Grab a Thai beer or tea and connect with your fellow travellers. Don't forget to sample local delicacies, and try a deep fried scorpion if you dare!

  • Day 2

    Bangkok/Surat Thani

Get on first-name basis with Thailand's capital city. Start off the day with a street food crawl, then opt to check out Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, relax with a Thai massage, or explore the klongs (canals) by boat. Later, hop on board the overnight train.

  • Day 3

    Surat Thani/Khao Sok

See southern Thai hospitality in action with breakfast at the tour operator-supported Khao Thep Pitak Community-Owned Farm & Restaurant, where you can also meet other international visitors. Later on, go to Lake Cheow Lan where you can take in the views while hiking or swimming in the national park. Spend tonight falling asleep to the sweet sounds of the jungle.

This area is known for its natural beauty. You know what that means: lots of chances for photos.

  • Day 4

    Khao Sok/Koh Pha Ngan

Head across southern Thailand to find yourself in Koh Pha Ngan. Take the free afternoon to relax on the beach or by the pool — which will be easy since tonight, you'll be staying beachside or poolside in cozy bungalows.

This area is known for its epic nightlife, whether or not there's a Full Moon Party. Make sure you don't miss the sunset. It'll be unforgettable.

  • Day 5

    Koh Pha Ngan

There's no rush to leave Koh Pha Ngan. Use your second day here to catch up on anything you missed yesterday, like exploring the island's waterfalls, swimming in lagoons, going for a hike, or, hey, taking another day to relax beachside.

  • Day 6

    Koh Pha Ngan/Koh Tao

Take the ferry to Koh Tao, a laid-back island known for snorkelling. This afternoon, put on your flippers to see a whole other world underwater. Going beneath the surface not your thing? Go the other way and climb up to the scenic view at Koh Nang Yuan View Point.

  • Day 7

    Koh Tao

Make the most of your last full day in Koh Tao paradise. Spend the day soaking up the sun beachside and be sure to get your fresh seafood fix. For your big night out, venture into the bustling nightlife and cheers to life-changing adventures with newfound friends. If you want to keep the party going, participate in the massive Koh Tao Pub Crawl.

  • Day 8

    Koh Tao

Today, it’s time to say goodbye to your group of newfound friends as the tour ends. Be sure to sneak in some last-minute photos and cheers before you head on your way. If booking a flight out of Koh Samui airport, make sure not to book one earlier than 11:00am. Want to take the hassle out of getting back to Bangkok? • Guide was excellent, good spots along the way, well organised

  • I was extremely happy with my tour, my only regret is that I didn't book another! I was able to do so many activities and made so many friends. Next time I will try to book more tours in different countries! The activities on the itinerary were amazing and we all had enough free time to explore the surrounding areas ourselves, whether that be with our new friends or solo.

Essential trip information

Our Important Notes and Packing List cover all essentials, from necessary equipment to inclusions, ensuring you're fully equipped and informed for this extraordinary adventure and more.

Frequently asked questions

  • What if I encounter problems upon arrival in Bangkok?

If you have pre-booked an airport transfer and are not met within 30 minutes of clearing customs and immigration, we recommend taking a taxi to the starting point hotel. If you are unable to commence your trip as scheduled, contact your starting point hotel to speak to or leave a message for your CEO, or refer to the emergency contact details provided in your dossier.
  • Can I do laundry during the trip?

Laundry facilities are offered by some of our hotels for a charge. There will be times when you may want to or have to do your own laundry, so we suggest you bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap.
  • How much emergency money should I carry?

Please ensure you have access to at least an additional USD $250 (or equivalent) as an 'emergency' fund, to be used if unforeseen circumstances (e.g., a natural disaster) require a change to the planned route.
  • What should I know about health and required inoculations before traveling?

It is your responsibility to consult with your travel doctor for up-to-date medical travel information and required inoculations well before departure. We recommend carrying a First Aid kit and hand sanitizers/antibacterial wipes. Please be aware that our CEOs are prohibited from administering any type of drug.
  • What is the policy regarding illegal drugs and exploitation on the trip?

Illegal drugs will not be tolerated, as they contravene local laws and put the group at risk. The exploitation of prostitutes is also against our philosophy of respect towards everyone. CEOs have the right to expel any group member found in possession of drugs or using prostitutes.
  • Is tipping expected in Thailand?

Yes, tipping is customary in Asia for service providers, typically around 10% depending on the service. Recommendations for tipping drivers and local guides range from $1.5-$3.5 USD per person per day. Tipping your CEO is also appreciated, with a guideline of $20-25 USD per person per week.
  • What optional activities are available during the tour?

Optional activities include: In Bangkok, you can visit Wat Po, take a Klong Riverboat Tour, enjoy a Thai massage (15-30USD), visit the Royal Barge Museum (3.50USD), or the Grand Palace (500THB). In Khao Sok, options include hiking, swimming, visiting Khao Sok National Park, or tubing (400THB). In Koh Pha Ngan, you can explore waterfalls, swim in lagoons, hike, or take yoga and meditation courses. In Koh Tao, you can opt for a Try SCUBA Dive 1 Day Experience (2 dives) or book the Bangkok Express for a post-tour return trip to Bangkok.
  • Are there any specific dress code guidelines for cultural sites or activities?

In Asia, a more conservative dress standard is expected. When visiting villages, temples, mosques, or other holy sites, please dress respectfully by avoiding very short shorts/skirts and singlets/tank-tops. In Southern Thailand, topless or nude sunbathing is not allowed, and in some Muslim villages, swimming should be done using a sarong or long t-shirt to cover your swimsuit.
  • What currency should I use, and what are the recommended payment methods?

The local currency is the Thai Baht. The best way to carry money is by using debit cards to withdraw cash from ATM machines (Visa and Mastercard networks are generally accepted). USD cash is recommended for emergency situations or when ATMs are not accessible. Credit cards can be used at some upmarket restaurants and larger stores.
  • Is there an extra cost for solo travelers?

No, our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Solo travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex.
  • Is travel insurance mandatory for this trip?

Yes, travel insurance is compulsory to participate in any of our trips. You must have medical coverage with a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. We strongly recommend coverage for personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage.
  • What is the typical group size for this tour?

The maximum group size is 18 travelers, with an average of 12.
  • Who will be leading the tour group?

A CEO (Chief Experience Officer) will be with the group throughout the trip.
  • What modes of transportation will be used on this trip?

Transportation includes train, local bus, air-con bus, boat, tuk-tuk, songthaew, taxi, and ferry. During local public holidays, alternative transport may be arranged for train journeys if space is insufficient.
  • What are the main activities and highlights of this Southern Thailand tour?

Highlights include exploring bustling Bangkok with a street food crawl, enjoying the natural beauty of Khao Sok National Park with hiking or swimming in Lake Cheow Lan, relaxing on the white-sand beaches of Ko Tao and Ko Phangan, spotting coral and marine life while snorkeling, and enjoying beach time on Thai islands. All transport between destinations and to/from included activities is also part of the tour.
  • How many meals are included in the tour price?

The tour includes 5 breakfasts and 2 lunches.
  • What kind of accommodation can I expect on this tour?

Accommodation includes simple hotels (twin-share) for 5 nights, a sleeper train for 1 night, and triple-share accommodations with same sex for 1 night.
